Farrah Fawcett, also known as Farrah Fawcett-Majors is an actress born on 2 February 1947 and died on 25 June 2009.

The actress has been popularized for the character of Jill Munroe in the TV series Strange Ladies (1976).

Biography
Originally from Lebanon, Farrah Fawcett was born Mary Farrah Leni Fawcett on February 2 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. It was during his studies in art at the University of Texas decide to pose as a model for advertising, having noted in a beauty contest within the university. She is soon in small series (Harry O).

In 1976, she agreed to turn the pilot of a television series to Aaron Spelling. This is Charlie's Angels (Funny women). She plays the role of Jill Munroe, recruited by a mysterious man and responsible for conducting investigations rocambolesques with two other teammates (played by Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson). The adventures of three funny ladies were a great success making an international star Farrah, even eclipse the fame of her own husband, Lee Majors (The man who was three billion, L'Homme qui tombe a pic ).

Known and recognized within the profession, but increasingly harassed by the public, Farrah opted to leave the studios Spelling at the end of the first season to pursue his career in film. After a long arm with the producers, it gets to be replaced by Cheryl Ladd, who plays the role of her little sister, but will make several appearances the following season as a guest.

Apart from a few films like Extremities in 1986, 1997 The Preacher and Dr. T and the Women in 2000 that its benefits will be welcomed by critics, the film career of the actress will prove disappointing.

Farrah Fawcett married Lee Majors in July 1973 and took the name of Farrah Fawcett-Majors. However, the Fawcett-Majors couple separated in 1982. It then has a long relationship with actor Ryan O'Neal, whom she has a child in 1985 named Redmond.

On 7 October 2006, she is suffering from colon cancer. It is made of a tumor in the intestine and started chemotherapy.

She died on 25 June 2009 to 9 h 28 (local time) in the intensive care unit of the hospital Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California.
