Lea Michele
Lea Michele whose real name is Lea Michele Sarfati (born August 29, 1986) is an American actress and singer best known for his roles in Broadway musicals, particularly that of Wendla in The Awakening of Spring, The New Musical (Spring Awakening), and for her role as Rachel Berry Glee in the television series, which aired on FOX.
Biography
Michele was born in the Bronx in New York under the name Lea Michele Sarfati. She grew up in Tenafly (New Jersey) and studied at Tenafly High School. She then admitted to the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, but decided to continue to go on stage. Indeed, it begins in 1995 as a child actor in the musical Les Miserables. What began as a replacement for the character of Cosette launch his career.
She then will appear in several other musicals including Ragtime in 1998, Fiddler on the Roof in 2004 and since the age of 14 years in The Awakening of Spring, The New Musical. It is named for the Drama Desk Award for her role as Wendla Bergman in this latest production.
Michele then began to turn in the television series Glee, where she plays the role of Rachel Berry. She and Cory Monteith, its partner in Glee, were named in the 2009 edition of Entertainment Weekly "Summer Must List" in the "Summer's Must Songbirds" for their respective roles in the series. She was also named to the Golden Globes and Satellite Awards.
