Sarah Shahi is an American actress of Iranian descent was born January 10, 1980 in Euless (Texas).

Biography
His father, a descendant of Fath Ali Shah Qajar, Iran is home and her mother is Spanish origin. His parents divorced when she was a little girl. She was educated at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas fluent in Persian and English. She was one of "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders" and it was during a performance of her team she was spotted by Robert Altman, who was in Dallas for the filming of Dr. T & the Women. He encouraged her to go to Los Angeles to begin a career in film.

In 2000, his picture appeared on the cover of the "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders," she then went with a party of the United Service Organizations in Kosovo, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy.

Sarah returned to Los Angeles where she landed several small roles. Playing in the television series Alias, Class of '06 in 2002 and 2003 in Old school, as well as in episode 3 of season 2 of Sleeper Cell.

She performed for two seasons (2 and 3) the character of Carmen de la Pica Morales, a sexy DJ in the American series The L Word, along with actresses Jennifer Beals and Katherine Moennig.

In 2007, she landed the female lead of the television series Life. She played the lieutenant Dani Reese. Disappointing audiences in the U.S. (although they were satisfactory in France) ended the series after only two seasons.

Privacy
Sarah Shahi is married (since February 2009) American actor Steve Howey. They had their first child July 9, 2009.

Trivia
She is also a brown belt in karate.
